Abstract
Regeneracija izgubljenih parodontnih tkiva postiže se odstranjenjem upalnog sadržaja, korištenjem regenerativnih materijala kao što su koštani nedomjesci i membrane te naposljetku odabirom pravilnih kirurških tehnika i tehnika šivanja. Kirurške tehnike očuvanja interdentalne papile su regenerativni kirurški postupci kojima je krajnji cilj postizanje regeneracije parodontnih tkiva. Njihova uloga je očuvanje mekog tkiva i postizanje optimalnih uvjeta za primarno zatvaranje rane. Primarno zatvaranje rane štiti tkiva koja se regeneriraju te sprječava ekspoziciju i kontaminaciju biomaterijala postavljenog u aproksimalne defekte. Kontaminacija regenerativnih materijala predstavlja izniman problem koji dovodi do neuspjeha terapije. Također, očuvanje interdentalne papile je iznimno bitan čimbenik u estetici osmijeha. Prethodne kirurške tehnike podrazumijevale su inciziju kroz papilu te time dovodile do njenog gubitka. Tehnike očuvanja interdentalne papile izbjegavaju takve incizije čime ne kompromitiraju estetiku osmijeha.
Abstract (english)
Regeneration of lost periodontal tissues is achieved by removing the inflamed tissue, using regenerative materials such as bone grafts and membranes, and finally by choosing the right surgical and suturing techniques. Papilla preservation techniques are regenerative surgical procedures whose ultimate goal is to achieve regeneration of periodontal tissues. Their role is to preserve soft tissue and achieve optimal conditions for primary wound closure. Primary wound closure protects regenerating tissues and prevents exposure and contamination of biomaterial(s) placed in proximal defects. Contamination of regenerative materials is an exceptional problem that leads to treatment failure. In addition, the preservation of the interdental papilla is an extremely important factor in the smile aesthetics. Previous surgical techniques involved incision through the papilla, which lead to its loss. Papilla preservation techniques avoid such incisions thus not compromising the smile aesthetics.
