Odnos pacijenta i dentalnog higijeničara izgrađuje se već na prvom stomatološkom pregledu i od iznimne je važnosti za uspješnost budućih pregleda. Važno je dijete poučiti o načinima održavanja oralnog zdravlja koje će ono provoditi kroz cijeli život. Održavanje oralne higijene uz pravilnu prehranu omogućiti će održavanje oralnog zdravlja, prevenirati nastanak karijesa, parodontnih bolesti i općenito smanjiti potrebnu za invazivnim zahvatima. The relationship between the patient and the dental hygienist is built already at the first dental examination and is extremely important for the success of future examinations. It is important to teach the child about the ways to maintain oral health that he will carry out throughout his life.
