It is necessary to start taking care of primary teeth already during pregnancy. Pregnant women are the ones who come into first contact with the child and take care of his oral health. Nursing caries is a problem that quickly progresses if prevention of its occurrence is not taken care of in time, therefore the education of pregnant women is of great importance for preserving the oral health of children. The purpose of this research is to examine the attitudes of pregnant women about the importance of primary teeth and their treatment. A total of 43 questionnaires were filled out by the respondents of the Istrian health centar in Labin. The results of the research show that most woman know that untreated primary teeth can affect the health of permanent ones, that sweetened drinks, milk or anything that water contribute to the development of caries in children, that primary teeth need to be washed in the morning, in the evening and after consuming sugary foods or drinks. Pregnant women had worse knowledge about the number of primary teeth. The conclusion is that most pregnant women have satisfactory knowledge about the importance of primary teeth and their rehabilitation
